Omolafe, often known as Expensive, was the former chairman of the state’s Akure South council district.
“He was unconscious last night (Sunday night), and was rushed to the Federal Medical Centre, Owo,” a source close to him stated.
He died around 2 a.m. this morning, according to reports.
“Expensive was not sick, we were still together on Sunday this is really sad, a tremendous blow dealt Akure,” one of his aides said.
